Whether they are really cool, innovative, helpful or just fun, mobile phone and tablet users love apps. Many app developers create versions for most mobile operating systems, but they almost always head for App Store acceptance first. Some, however, prefer to keep their own apps tailored for the operating system that users are purchasing more over time – Android platforms. Others create specifically for Windows Phone handsets or others. We stumbled upon a unique and highly interesting (to us, anyway) iPhone jailbreak tweak that we couldn’t wait to tell you of. Unfortunately, the tweak app isn’t available at this time for other mobile operating systems, but we’re hoping to see cross-platform versions soon!

RingerX VIP

Currently, this jailbreak tweak is for iPhones only, and those users might consider themselves extremely lucky: They will never miss an important call from a muted phone or suffer through unwanted callers again.

RingerX VIP allows programming of automatic notifications based on the user’s preference for certain incoming actions: Those bff calls and messages can always override mute, vibrate-only or customised volume and ringtone settings.

Always ignore the idiot who calls you well before dawn by stipulating an “always silent” or “ignore” setting.

Are you in a meeting at work and positively cannot be distracted by a mass vibration setting but often forget to change the designation? Well, don’t worry: RingerX VIP allows a temporary setting that is timed. Set the override control for anywhere from five minutes long to five minutes less than one full day. As soon as that time frame ends, the temporary setting expires, of course, and your settings return to their normal parameters.

Do you need to be notified of certain numbers calling, regardless of time or circumstance? The tweak provides a toggle on or off option on a one-off basis and an “everybody” universal or global kill switch. (No, it just means “apply to everybody.”)

RingerX VIP works with Call Bar, so users don’t have to pick which ringer control to utilize. RingerX VIP provides a user’s guide that is just as marvellously comprehensive as Call Bar’s as well!
