mobile phones on contract - Bad Credit? No problem!

Sony Ericsson is thought to be in the process of developing a high end smartphone that could join the current Xperia range as the X12, the natural successor to the current X10.

Sony Ericsson X12 AnzuThe current codename for this handset is the Anzu, but after a critic in Russia managed to get hold of it a lot more is known about this mobile.

The model which was acquired and tested, ran Android 2.1 but, according to rumours, it will land with Android 2.2 in the first months of next year. Following its international launch it is likely that Sony Ericsson will roll out Android 2.3 via an update.

A 4.3 inch touchscreen display will allow the X12/Anzu to match the HTC Desire HD when it comes to screen size and an 800MHz processor makes it the computing equivalent of the Desire Z. A 12 megapixel camera on the rear with HD video capture capabilities is another modern touch that matches the Nokia N8, so it seems that the X12 will be competitive.

Sony Ericsson has yet to go public with details about the Anzu / X12, but it looks like it will not be long before all is revealed in the run-up to its official launch.
