The countdown to the release of the Dell Venue Pro is on after the listing on Expansys showed the smartphone will be available in the next three days.

The Venue Pro is Dell’s first Windows Phone 7 smartphone and was due for a Christmas release but unspecified delays set the launch back. Dell has yet to announce the new launch date officially but it looks likely that users will be enjoying the 4.1in WVGA AMOLED screen and QWERTY keypad before the end of this week.

Other features of the Venue Pro – the second-largest Windows Phone 7 handset on the market – include a 1GHz processor, 512MB of memory, 8GB of internal storage and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Support for Microsoft’s Xbox Live and Zune services are also included on the Venue Pro, along with access to the Windows Phone Marketplace for additional applications.

Expansys lists the phone at £439.99  SIM-free.
