mobile phones on contract - Bad Credit? No problem!

OS Updates and new mobile gaming opportunities are two of our favourite subjects to bring to you, and we are doubly lucky to bring you both in one post today.

HTC Trophy Update on Verizon Now

US mobile phone owners of the HTC Trophy reported problems with GSM roaming designations once they returned to the United States from foreign networks. Verizon has the fix ready and available that will correct the issue, along with the disappearing virtual keyboard, and adds a few new features as well.

The update will include a user option to switch clock coordination from the carrier and a terrific user option to designate the connection to a network. A user can choose between a 3G network, for example, or an EDGE network. The user-designated switch may help weak signals and lag times in crowded network areas.

Apple iPad Game of the Year Goes Android

Osmos, the Apple iPad Game of the Year award-winner, now has been adapted for and is available for Android mobile devices.

The game is slightly different than the iOS version, we’re told, and has a heavy focus on ambient music to accompany you as you relax and become immersed in the Osmos cosmos.

You still feed and absorb organisms and grow, but an added twist is that you are also prey to larger predators.

Brilliant graphics, a ‘mag’ soundtrack and terrific play continuity bring Osmos to almost Nirvana game heights. It’s $2.99 US price tag isn’t bad either.

The Android Market has two versions available, so be sure to choose the right download. One app version is a sample game with limited play and advancement; it’s called the Osmos Demo.

The other, full version is Osmos HD, and don’t forget that HD designation: That’s what brings the graphics into cosmic visual levels.

Of course, if you don’t have a smartphone that grants HD graphics, try the game app anyway: It’s still a lot of fun with great visuals.
