On 20 December 2011, we presented a preview of the HTC Titan, the first 4.7-inch screened smartphone. Apparently, HTC wasn’t quite satisfied with a few of the features and specifications, for HTC has just announced the Titan II with a bit more juice power and probably extended connectivity options.
Overview
Although exact battery life figures haven’t been released, the battery capacity upgrade is one of the first things we noticed from what HTC did publicise. Unless there are lots of features and options that HTC has kept hidden, the bigger battery means to us that the talk and standby times will be somewhat improved, for the screen sizes are identical, although this boasts a bigger camera.
From what we’ve seen, most of the known elements mirror the original Titan mobile phone. We have included a link to the Titan piece here for reference, so we aren’t duplicating that data in this piece. Don’t worry; it should open in a new window.

Additional comments: The 16 MB rear camera meets the highest camera capability on the market. The HTC Titan and the Kodak Polaroid model we previewed earlier today also have the 16 MB camera. Before that benchmark, the only 16 often found in reviews was the onboard memory capacity in GB!
Expected release time: Some time in the first quarter, 2012.
Overall opinion: This model hopefully will price equal to the Titan; the bigger battery and better rear camera may elevate its price tag, though. Not a bad follow-up model, though, especially if the larger battery carries with it extended life.
