It’s been some time since we have run a side-by-side comparison, so we correct that situation and bring to a head-to-head contest between the LG Spectrum and the Motorola DROID Razr XT 910.
On January 8th, we brought you a preview of the LG Spectrum. Here, we’ve included the previously unknown battery life figures published after its 19 January release.
The LG Spectrum is slightly larger than the XT910, but that’s to allow for the larger screen owned by the Spectrum.
The LG Spectrum works on CDMA networks, whilst the Razr model is compatible with GSM networks. Both have excellent WiFi connectivity options.
The Razr isn’t quite as fast as the LG Spectrum with speeds of 1.2 GHz and 1.5 GHz, respectively, but that difference doesn’t influence video recording: They have identical video capabilities.
The Razr XT 910 has the on-board memory advantage, and therefore, the overall memory advantage with 4 GB on-board with Spectrum and 16 GB on-board with XT 910. Both can handle 32-GB external microSD cards.
The screen on the Razr XT 910 is a bit more energy efficient than the LCD screen on the LG Spectrum, but the Spectrum with its higher-capacity battery still falls slightly short of the battery life of the Razr XT 910.
