Those of us who practically live in the mobile phone world have been wondering how far LG will explore the Windows Phone OS in their devices. To date, LG has introduced only one Win 7 model, and that was the practically-a-clone LG Jil Sander model we examined not long ago.

Today, we’re giving a preview – entirely unofficially – of the LG Fantasy, a model that hasn’t officially been announced, much less introduced for sale. While not all of the specifications are available, we’ll share with you what little we do know about it – entirely unofficially rumoured, that is.

The LG Fantasy is fueling imagination fires as we anticipate a formal announcement on this model during either the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2012 or the Mobile World Congress in Februrary 2012.

When we know more about this model, we’ll post the information for you. Meanwhile, here’s the rumoured information we’ve fielded on it.

Overview

This candy bar-designed smartphone will be a GSM model, which means that if you really, really want to, you can unlock it for multiple provider use. Unlike CDMA devices, GSMs can be unlocked, though it might incur a charge to do so.

Talk and standby times aren’t available, so we can’t comment on those, but the battery seems of decent capacity. Because it doesn’t sport a QWERTY keyboard, presumably the talk and standby times will be respectable. Note: The capacity is not confirmed!

Pictures we’ve seen of it notes slightly rounded corners and a black-on-black colour scheme. The case appears to be made entirely of plastic, but admittedly, they weren’t high-tech photos that were snuck hither and yon.

Please note that there is absolutely no guarantee that any specification we were able to piece together is accurate: There are no official specs released yet.
