We just received word that Motorola may be soon releasing a new smartphone into the Asian market. The model number registered with the FCC in the United States is XT320, and the device’s name is the Motorola Defy Mini. Just announced yesterday, the device, as is, will probably never be released in the US, but if the Asian market responds well, other versions may be available later on a global scale.
The projected release time is the second quarter of 2012 – somewhere.
Not much is known about this device so far, but here’s what we found out.
Overview
Sturdy, long-lived and powerful, the Defy Mini appears to be a very suitable smartphone to carry the Defy name. Its compact, lightweight form would make the device very comfortable in hand and the full touchscreen operability appears to be supplemented by four function buttons on the lower edge of the mobile phone.
Rounded corners and a black matte case give the smartphone an attractive appearance.
Here are the details of operation known so far.
