Apple have announced that you can upgrade your iPhones and iPads to the latest version of the iOS operating system, iOS 7, from September 18th. The update will of course be free and will be downloadable using your device or through iTunes when plugged into your computer.

iOS7 will be available for iPhone 4 and later, the iPad 2 and later, the 5th generation iPod Touch and the iPad Mini.

iOS 7 has many major changes including significantly a major design switch. New features include a control centre for quickly changing brightness, volume, etc and accessing the camera and other essential features.

Other great news includes the fact that Apple’s productivity apps for the iPhone and iPad, which are an alternative to Microsoft’s Office suite, will be made free for all users to download. iMovie and iPhoto are also becoming free apps. This will really enhance the attractiveness of choosing iPhone over Android or Windows Phone.
