mobile phones on contract - Bad Credit? No problem!

In a very bold move at the CES 2012, a Microsoft employee issued a wager against any smartphone that a Windows Phone device is faster – or the challenger gets $100 – period.

Called

“Part Inspector Gadget and Part Rambo,”

Ben Rudolph, a.k.a.,

“Ben the PC Guy,”

…is boosting his already fanatical status about Windows and compatible hardware.

He is attending the CES 2012 and recently sent out this message:

“Think your smartphone faster than a Windows Phone? Swing by the Microsoft booth on January 10 – 11 from 2 to 6 p.m. PT to put it to the test. If you win, you get $100. If you get #smokedbywindowsphone, you have to confess it to your friends with your new Windows Phone in hand – Ben will hold you to it. To find Ben at CES and take the challenge follow @BenThePCGuy.”

In other words, all you stand to loose is a tweet or Bacebook post or two. If you loose the wager, you own a new Windows Phone smartphone. If you win, you pocket $100 right there on the spot.

Ben doesn’t advertise over the e-waves what his phone has under the case, such as processing speed or any enhancements, so if you choose to take the waver, ensure your OS is current and your processor is not weighed down by a lot of active apps or silently running operations. Also make sure your mobile phone has good signal strength: Don’t handicap the test with slow download speeds from a poor signal.

Qualification: Your smartphone cannot be a Windows Phone-based device. Sorry, but it’s a

“Windows Phone against the world”

…scenario.

Go chip-to-chip with near-guru Ben the PC Guy, and win either way.

Ed: UPDATE: Ben has WP 7.5 Mango. Joint connection to hotspot. Test actions based on challenger’s usual functions. Sounds pretty fair to us. Who will beat the WP Mango platform?
